topdog
there are a few things in the "for sale" section here in the forum.. also, check out the Ad-Mag and http://www.freecycle.org - a website where people post their unwanted items, to give away. And, Abbeydale Road is great for house clearance shops (the bottom/middle bit) - some fabulous bargains to be had!

karenlkr
by the way, what's 'Ad-Mag '?
lauren84
Ad Mag is a newspaper (green on one day and pink I think on another) it is £1.20 - you can get it from most newsagents. New editions are out on a Wednesday and a Saturday so it is best buying the paper then as the ads are newer then. In the paper it is just items that people are selling (from clothes to cars etc) and you phone them up and buy the item from them. You can get some right bargains from it! You can ring up and the person selling usually will be more than happy for you to go round and look at their item without you being obliged to buy! lauren84
My husband does my head in with the Ad Mag - if I let him he would buy something every week! Ha ha!
dizzy_chick
Also Remar-UK are very good. They are on Matilda Street as you between Granville Sq and Bramall Lane roundabout. They have some very cheap furniture. I brought a lovely solid oak dining table for a bargain price.
