happyhippy
apart from yorkie puds, what else is famous for comming from this part of the world, and can you make it at home? Yorkshire puddings originated in France. It matters not as the True King Of Food Stuffs is from our beloved city. HENDERSONS!!!!!!!!!

Thunzi
Isn't Wensleydale cheese made somewhere in Yorkshire? I would imagine that isn't one that could be made at home though.

Thunzi
I believe it has protected status, as does Stilton ....... Quite probably so, I wasn't suggesting okka north actually attempt to make it My experiences of making cheese go back to primary school, I remember it being very difficult. Put "Yorkshire food recipes" into google, there are lots and lots of results. Some of them look very promising.

All I was saying wa that I think it has protected status in the EU, like Stilton, Parma ham, champagne, and such. Parkin has to be up there f'Yarkshire tho! Wonderful stuff!
