I am looking for students who were at Central Technical School during the transfer to the new school at Gleedless, later called Asleigh.

Teachers as I remember French was Miffy, Chemestry was Pop Gregory, Physics was Gorouke and the Head was Mr. Hyde later if I can remember Mr Fyfe.

The people I can remember were David Biggins, Steve Nicolson, Brian Chapman, Steve Rowland, Nobby Clark, and many more.

I am Dave Theaker, anybody remember the Punch Clock Pub and Herfield Girls I would love to hear

I know live in Inverness

The Physics teacher to whom you refer is Frank Groarke who became a union rep for AMMA. If you look up CTS and Ashleigh in the search, you will see a number of threads on this subject.

Thanks for the info what year were you at the school and can you rmember the other teachers, also have you heard that part of the old CTS is to be demolished::rolleyes:  :o

1961-64 Stephenson House/Engineering, left before it became Ashleigh. I think I've listed many of the old teachers on the site I told you about on the 'Search'. I have subsequently encountered some of them as colleagues in schools around Sheffield.

Everybody in Sheffield knows about the Leopold re-development plan which is well under way. Apparently, the O.B. newsletter reveals that there is a tour arranged for October. Wadge's room at the moment, visible from West St., has a broken pane of glass. I understand it is to become a bedroom in the hotel. The secretary of the assoc. has apparently secured possession of the coat-hanger rail from the alcove in his study, on which his prize collection of sticks were kept. As my sole visit there was for the signature on a holiday form, I can't enlighten you further!!
