a_starfish
Is there anywhere (i.e. a shop or dealer) in Sheffield that services old (Singer) sewing machines?
Elphi 24
have you tried the place on woodseats (the broxholme road end). They were very helpful when I needed my machine fixing
a_starfish
Ah! Is that Woodseats Sewing Machines then? I'll called them just now but there was no answer so I assume they've closed for today so I'll try them again tomorrow.

a_starfish
Just to let you anyone watching this know - I had my machine serviced today by Alan Wharton. Very good service and well priced too! Thanks Allen and Mandem for the recommendation. I'm really glad I didn't have to try and lug my machine around the city on public transport to get it serviced. sammeh86
I realise this is an old thread and the OP may not be around, but I am looking to get my sewing machine repaired. It is a really heavy old one so would hope to either not take it very far (from S11) or have someone come out to service. My question is - from the above post it seems like this Alan gentleman came out to service the machine. Does anyoen know if this is the case? Thanks
a_starfish
Hi sammeh86, I am still about, luckily I still had this thread on notification for replies. Alan did indeed come to my house to service my sewing machine.
sammeh86
Coolies. If you don't mind me asking how much did the repair cost? Just want a rough idea.
