Googlemaps - why is every part of Sheffield now Norton?

Has anyone else noticed this? Whenever you search for a street, it comes up as X Street, Norton, Sheffield, S Whatever. Surely it would be more use if they actually had the proper area names on there! Anyone know why this is or if we can get it changed?? :loopy:

It's a problem in their database, same in Google Earth, I've also noticed various place names in the wrong locations, and some really odd road names (look at the Snake). There are similar issues with other towns.

They do say it is Beta, and there is a feedback form:

It will be better when local.live have done the entire UK as they have Nottinghamshire. Almost all of Nottinghamshire has been done in 3 dimensions. Not only that, you can view from north, south, east or west. Take a look, it's brilliant and so close up.

its much more annoying when the pictures dissapear because the zoom level is too high. happily not a problem with sheffield's images, beautiful high resolution, you can even see footballs on some garage roofs!!!!

a little outdated tho, look down kelham island way. thats changed loads in the last few years.

i love it
