Torr3x
i have a k750i that was working. i saw the update on SE's website and decided to update my phone. the update was nearly completed when the stoped and exited. the phone no longer switches on. would i be right in thinking the failed update has messed the phones systems up. should i attempt another update? any help would be greatly appreciated thanks, joe
sallonoroff
It sounds like something's gone wrong with the firmware. If it won't work then i can't see any harm in trying to update it again... though i'd probably take it to a phone shop to see if they could resurrect it. +
Torr3x
i re downloaded the firmware and now its working. but to be honest i cant see any change to the phone, what exactly is it supposed to do?
sallonoroff
No idea. You tell me. Surely the SonyEricsson site lists what changes the firmware revision makes? I wouldn't expect anything major... +
fnkysknky
Probably just minor changes like less power drainage and the like. It's not likely to be anything you'll actually see like new menu options.
martss
Has it fixed the bug that when you turn the phone off then on it deletes the joystick button user shortcuts?
Torr3x
the se site doesnt mention anything. i was hoping it would allow me to browse files on othe peoples fone via bluetooth like with the k700i. does any1 know of how to do that? sallonoroff
They may well have disabled that feature for privacy reasons. I had a K700i and once you'd paired up with someone elses K700i (never tried it with other models or brands) you could scout about through all their files. Which they might not have liked, especially if that's not the reason you paired with them in the first place.
mistyraven
Hi I have one of these phones and someone else I know has.. they sent me a ringtone and my phone seems to be doing really strange things. I have now deleted the tone, but the phone still seems strange can they get in to my stuff and listen in? I know I may be losing the plot:loopy: but I would hate for them to know my stuff. please help. thanks
sallonoroff
can they get in to my stuff and listen in? they *may* be able to browse through your files and copy them to their phone if you 'paired' with them. If you just transfered the file by bluetooth normally, then i doubt it. +
