wendygs
What goes on a gravestone and is there some kind of ceremony for it?
mr chris
I think you can put pretty much anything on a gravestone that isn't defamatory, inflamatory, indecent or just plain wrong. Best place to get a gravestone is from a stonemason. There's one on Abbey Lane that's just been taken over. Can't remember the name - try contacting a cemetary? peardrops
Usually the funeral directors will recommend a stone mason for you and then you can choose one of your choice, you then pick the epitaph. It takes several weeks to complete but they cannot place the stone for a long while after the funeral as the plot has to settle to avoid the stone moving or falling over. I think on average it is 3-6 months before the permanent stone is placed.
