Pubs in Sheffield which are the best

I preferred the Dev Cat as a meet venue to be honest, sure the beer was a bit expensive, but I preferred the atmosphere in there to somewhere like Swim Inn, where the so-called "music" is so loud you can't hold a decent conversation without having to bawl your head off.

:help: I sound old! I'm only 30!

The music in the Swim isn't very loud, in fact I don't think there is any?

They did install a stinking great plasma screen though, which is always a conversation killer.

BUT it does have retractable walls. What more could you want? ;)

Swim Inn is okay for cheep booze, but it aint got any atmosphere at all. Very droll.

And that's my point, Dev Cat was pricey, and not popular with younger forummers, but at least it had some kind of half decent atmosphere.
