Why can't people drive properly?

Recommended Posts

On my usual drive into work this morning I find myself stuck behind some pillock in a red Rover dawdling along, far more interested in viewing the accident on University roundabout, than bothering to signal or look where he's going.

This is one of the endless examples I see every week of people that don't signal, pull out of drives / junctions without looking for traffic or ponder along at 32 in a 40 zone.

Then they get upset and angry when you have a go at them!

But what can one do with these people?

The accident, for reference, was some car on it's side. I didn't pay too much attention as I was watching the road.

Do you know what Toothrott (lovely name btw), I'm beginning to wonder if this is something unique to Sheffield.

A few weeks ago I had a few days off and took my family to Wales (Llangollen and Llandudno). The journeys to and from were wonderful. In deepest Wales it was - for the first time in as long as I can remember - a **pleasure** to drive. Admittedly, Wales is a great deal quieter than England, but even on the way home through Cheshire and Derbyshire, I don't think I encountered one poor driver.

But as soon as you hit Sheffield, they're there, driving slowly, not indicating, on their mobile phones and so on.

I think it's high time to bring in examinations every five years. We can all get rather sloppy in our driving and I reckon that if you couldn't pass your re-examination after three attempts, then you should have your licence suspended.

I also wish there were cameras on the bus-lane on Crookesvalley Road filming every Saturday morning. At that time, it isn't, in effect, a bus lane and is always clear of parked traffic.

Why then does every single motorist driving toward University Roundabout occupy the outer lane? Get them off the road and free the roads up for the rest of us....,

I get a lift to work with an older driver and he cant drive AT ALL!!!!!! im scared half of the time, i have to read a book or play on my mobile because i cant watch, he pulls out infront of people, doesnt idicate , stalls it, drifts into bus lanes when ever he wants, once he drifted into a bus lane and nearly took out a cyclist, he actully touched the side of the car. They should be tests your right.
