Sunshine

Dont let the freaks worry you on this thread. Obviosly they had no one they knew affected on 9/ 11.

I am sure that everyone who has posted on here agress that this was a tragedy, Just some are trying to point out that we should not get carried away.

I never light a candle because there was no powercut, yes I did spare a thought but I do most days for something or other.

This is turning into what I feared it would. Isn't it possible to put politics aside for once? Under no circumstances can acts of terrorism be justified, it doesn't matter who they are against.

Maybe people are right, maybe it effected more people because it unfolded in front of their eyes, but it still effected them.

Like I said before, 9/11 should be a day that all innocent victims of all terrorism should be rememberd, like soldiers are rememberd on 11/11.

Exactly!!!

The phrase "total hypocrisy" springs to mind.

The people who are about to oppose what I say , kindly leave your brains in the toilet where they belong.

I know that people like you, and others who have posted in a similar vein, couldn't really care less about all the people who have died in 'our time' in the various acts of terrorism, the various wars, the various natural tragedies. Except, of course, Venger, who apparently "did spare a thought but I do most days for something or other." Bless him.

No. It's an act you all put on to get a reaction isn't it? An anonymous internet-based act.

What you don't get is that this is a thread about the September the Eleventh terrorist attacks. These, I’m sure you are aware, happened in the US. We (i.e. the majority of UK citizens) share a common history and common language and common blood and many other common things with the US, so we feel 'close' do them. They are ‘on our side’, certainly more so than any other country I can think of. And surely you tend to feel grief for those who are close to you, be it your mum, dad, brother, sister, cousin, best friend, etc? But (for example) you don’t feel grief for that old bloke in Latvia who died of a heart attack last night. Similarly we don’t feel the same grief for those who have died, and are still dying, in Afghanistan and Iraq, and innumerable other countries in the world.

I think the bottom line is that too many of you are envious of the US and its citizens, but don't like to admit it, so you turn it round and pretend to hate them. Call me wrong if you want, but I know I’m right.

OK....I've banned one user and removed some posts.

Now, as has been repeatedly requested, if you don't like the spirit of this thread, start another one.

Anything further posts not in keeping with the original posters intent will be dealt with in a similar manner.
