brooksy
people died that day no questions. But people die everyday on earth. Life goes on and you move on. Death is a part of life. True, but murder is i differant thing friend. :(
JoeP
Just to re-iterate what I said above - this thread was set up by someone who WAS bothered about what happened. If you're not, or you don't feel it worthy of your time, then don't bother posting here. There is at least one other thraed on 'Media Rememberance' that you might prefer to post on. No one is stopping you expressing your views; it's just that there might be better threads on which to express them. Please show some respect for others. brooksy
The sad thing about all this is that many muslims saw this as a great victory. This shows the difference between our two cultures. All right thinking people saw it as the greatest act of cowardice in living memory. What the old heros of Islam would make of this latest lot of murderers, only the heavens know. These people dont follow islam, there just terrorists.Sorry off topic.
willman
i knew no one who was affected so it had little effect on me. i was shocked at the act of evil but not surprised, after all i've had to live with the threats of the IRA in my homeland most of my life. (along with the possibility of American supported terrorist groups) my condolences to anyway who lost friends or family, it was an unnecessary loss. NPB!
It had quite a profound effect on me, even though I didn't know anyone involved. I remember getting back from College just as the first plane had hit, and they were speaking of it terms of an Air Accident. The shock, and reality of what was happening as I watched the senond plane coming in was something I'll never forget
Tradescanthia
9/11 was the day when 'the gloves came off'. Terrible day, nothing has ever affected me personally as much as the events of that day. Nearly 400 firemen killed trying to save lives. It will be a cold day in hell before I have any respect for Islam and its twisted beliefs.
hmr44
sun shine, listen to me did u grieve when this 500,000 people have died?did u observe this genocide's aniversary? what i am saying is death happens to all of us. We pray and we mourn. And then we move on. All the world asks is one day to mourn the death of 9/11 victims. Just one day. If you want to mourn the 500,000 people who died then go ahead, and give people knowledge on it in another thread if you wish. But this one is dedicated to the twin tower's victims. Death does happen to all of us, so does murder and terrorism, we do pray, we do mourn and we do move on. But we have anniversirys of the deaths, as we do with wars, and for the tsunami victims, even for our own families, thats how we mourn. People do it in different ways. It will never get any easier to come to terms with horrific events like this one but if we don't think about it anymore, security levels will drop and it'll happen again. It probably will do anyway. What will they take this time, the Empire State?? I have been to the top of that and it isnt as nearly as high as the Twin Towers. To imagine people jumping from that height to escape death by burning - but to know they were going to die anyway is heartbreaking.
