sheff_minx
Fair enough...but check out the list of other terrorist attrocities where people have died. Will you be remembering those victims??..I doubt it because it's didn't tell you to on Sky News or the Daily Mirror. What a ****ed up world we live in. And who the hell are you to make assumptions about me? You know nothing about me or what I choose to comemmorate or not. The key point in that statement being "What I choose" - not what I'm apparently told to do by some journalist. now go get a life and stop trolling decent threads. There was a rememberance outside the Town Hall today in memory of those people who were killed/missing from the 11th of September 1973. Thats the date when the US hijacked Chile and removed its democratically elected leader. What irony..........
blip
Agreed that all attacks are atrocious and victims should be remembered, but today is the anniversary of the twin towers attacks, and thus the victims of this attack should be remembered. Wise words indeed.
venger
Wise words indeed. Wise is not the correct word here, empathetic or some other maybe... Never wise.

So, of the following words: Agreed that all attacks are atrocious and victims should be remembered, but today is the anniversary of the twin towers attacks, and thus the victims of this attack should be remembered. which words do you consider to be unwise? Not trolling..the thread title says 5th Anniversary of the Twin Towers and I am commenting on it as is my right. So if I'm making assumptions then correct me and tell me you are/aren't commemorating various other terrorist attrocities.
Birth-Peace
One of my best friends died in the twin towers that day so I certainly have been thinking of her and all the other innocents that were killed. The 11th of September, a day that so many many people died in such a horrendous way, is so ingrained in people's hearts and minds that I am sure the majority do not need to be told when and where to mourn by journalists. I do find your comments offensive and highly insensitive Wibbles!
venger
How much time should we spend remembering the dead please ? Surely a tragic event, but that is what happens when people fall out. Should we have rememberance for every Eastern and Western fatality in Vietnam, Boar War, the Somme, daily bombings in Iraq, every time a deep sea fisherman never returns every year ?
