Camrat78
Just a quick post to remember those that died 5 years ago. I would like to think that no matter what our religion, ethnic background or political point of view, we all take a minute to remember those that perished in the disaster. The world changed that day......

wibbles
Do you all light candles or remember the victims of all the other terrorist attrocities that have taken place??..or is it just the ones you see most on telly??
Camrat78
This was the worst terrorist attack ever seen, killing thousands and thousands. We can debate all you like the politics surrounding it, but it wont change the fact that many innocent people died that day. Not only that, but this will probably be the defining moment of the 21st century!

Not only that, but this will probably be the defining moment of the 21st century! Many more innocent people have died throughout history as a result of other terrorist attrocities. Just because most people died doesn't make it any more or less an attrocity than when one person dies. Where are the candles for the victims of the Manchester and Warrington IRA bombings. I know for a lot of people involved that THEY were the defining moments of the 21st Century. I feel sickened by the media influenced sympathy. The last straw was being told we were to hold a minutes silence in work today in rememberance. Needless to say I walked out of the office and made a phone call. It has been definitely the most important event since the beginning of WW2. It may prove to be even more important. The entire world is at a cross roads, and we must decide the right road to take. The most obvious path is not always the correct one.

Nobody died (fortunately) in the Manchester bomb. I was there. The September 11th attacks, in my opinion, were much worse than the one I experienced - over 3000 innocent people lost their lives. Agreed that all attacks are atrocious and victims should be remembered, but today is the anniversary of the twin towers attacks, and thus the victims of this attack should be remembered. However, this thread is not the place to debate the politics, and you should start another thread if you wish to do so.

Fair enough...but check out the list of other terrorist attrocities where people have died. Will you be remembering those victims??..I doubt it because it's didn't tell you to on Sky News or the Daily Mirror. What a ****ed up world we live in.
