Finding out what mother board...

You can usually get clues to the make/model of a motherboard by examining the alphanumeric codes at the top and/or bottom of the initial screen when you turn the PC on. When it is doing a memory count, press the pause button on the keyboard, which should freeze the screen. If you want assistance, tell us what the codes are on here and I'll see if any of them make sense.
