Sandeh
I've searched high and low for a sofa that a) I like, b) will fit the space available and c) isn't ridiculously expensive. As I want something that will last people keep telling me that it might work out cheaper to have one made. Has anyone had a sofa made in Sheffield? How much did it cost and have you still got the makers contact details?

FairyNormal
I forget the name of the shop but it's a well established one just round the corner from the markets, on the bridge as you go towards the Wicker. My mum had one made for her there as she has arthritis and is very short (4' 11") so conventional sofas are uncomfotable on her legs. The name escapes me at the moment sorry. They have been there years though. Hers was a lovely leather suite and was very well made.

hockeybear
I work for a firm that makes the frames for sofa's, A one off takes longer to make than one for which we already have a pattern, so it will cost more. We don't do uphostery but I'll ask around tomorrow and get you the name of someone who will do you a good job. ( if I know it is for you I will do a good job on the frame ) Dave..
