nigsmig
hi, i was wondering if there was anyone practicing 'the old ways' in sheffield. i'm looking for a shamanistic path with an indigenous vibe rather than say the local native american group. would also be interested if anyone could point me in the right directon for language lessons in old norse or old english. thankyou. Just to point out that this is Sheffield, England as opposed to Sheffield, Vermont! Our native american population is quite small! .. there used to be an old 'orse at the farm on Gleadless Common. Hope this helps.

It seems you’re in the right place for old English. It’s still used along with Bible English in Yorkshire, and a lot of its words were originally Norse. Don’t know about the shamanistic path though. Most folk have either gravel, stone flags or that tacky tarmac stuff and none of it has vibes, let alone indigenous ones! Anyway, enough of that. As a born Sheffielder I practiced the ‘old ways’ but none of the women fell for it so I had to resort to more gentlemanly ways which I am not prepared to discuss with a stranger.
