Godzilla
I have taken three days off work this week to deal with the dogs while Mr Godzilla is at a conference. It should be a relaxing time, but Mr Godzilla has invited two Japanese visitors to stay with us for three nights next week. I am not the tidiest of people and so am trying to get to grips with the housework (when I am not on the Forum!). And there's bedding to wash. This morning my vacuum cleaner gave up the ghost, and I had to dash out for another. Full marks to m.k. services on Middlewood Road who, because they can't process switch, let me take one away on the understanding that I will call back with cash or a cheque. This is just the latest of my problems. Last night Mr Godzilla rang from Scotland to say that his back had 'gone' and he doesn't know how he will make it home - he sounded to be in a lot of pain. Trouble is that we've arranged to 'man' the Retired Greyhound Trailer at Penistone Show on Saturday and I don't think he'll be up to it. Also, he is supposed to be entertaining our Japanese guests next week because I have to be at work. He usually takes the dogs out too, and I expect I'll have to step in - and I have so many of my own plans! I am not unsympathetic to Mr Godzilla's pain - but he will probably take himself to bed and leave me to manage as best I can. I think I feel better now I've had a moan. bigflesh
Have you considered a King Kong? You may even get a decent price if you consider a "part-ex"... or a "full ex?"

Godzilla
Mr Godzilla has phoned sounding slightly less 'pained' and says he should be ok for Penistone as he'll be able to stand up for most of the day. His problems start when he sits down, and then can't get his back straight again. Taxman is my only nearby relative, and whilst he often puts himself out to help with the dogs, I wouldn't dare ask him to tackle the clutter in my kitchen and dining room. purdyamos
Have you any friends or relatives that could help you with any of these tasks? Funny you should say that. Look for the greyhound avatar. As for the Japanese visitors, Godzilla, just perch them in front of SF, we'll keep them busy!
Godzilla
Generally, my approach to housework involves lots of throw's (to cover the clutter) and subdued lighting. I don't think this will be as effective when my Japanese visitors wake for breakfast.

No, my approach would be a skip and a shovel:hihi:
