racks
Hello - does anyone know of any Dutch language classes or private tutors in the Sheffield area? Desperately trying to find one to start asap! Sheffield College no longer run one and I can't find one anywhere. Any suggestions would be gratefully received! Thanks. wiglet
Sheffield Uni do dutch at degree level but they might be worth contacting to find out about starter courses or if there are any dutch students that would be able to help Good luck
racks
Hello - this is a message for the forum user who was kind enough to send two very helpful emails in response to my posting asking about Dutch classes in Sheffield. I tried to send a PM as requested but, as I am a new user, I need 10 postings on the forum before I can get in touch that way! I'm trying to learn the language for personal use - a love of the country and a love of a Dutchman! Your advice was great and I would love to get in touch and talk to you about this via PM but don't seem to be able to do that yet. thanks again and keep sending the messages! CHAIRBOY
Are you able to receive P/M's if not send them? I have sent you my e-mail address by PM and I have typed some basic rules of grammar out for you which I want to send by e-mail. Thanks.
chiggey
I have the same problem. I have some Dutch tapes, which are good, but it's no substitute for the real thing. I travel to the Netherlands on business from time to time and I've been trying to learn - on and off - for years. It would be sensible to try to get a few people together, then try to drum up a tutor. The comment about a student sounds good. There must be a Dutch speaker out there that needs some extra cash. robstuart
Hi, I am just moving to Sheffield and have been looking for both art classes and dutch classes. I have been learning dutch on and off for a year, since meeting some lovely dutchies in Malaysia, and would like to practice with a group. Have any of you found a class or group yet or who would like to start one? Rob

mistygirl75
For private tutors contact Katie at Babble and Speak at katie@babbleandspeak.com. She's also on the forum. I currently teach Dutch for her, so she might be able to set you up
chiggey
Hoi, Guys. It looks like there at least two of us that would like to set up some kind of group. Jaap, were you offering your services?? Rob, if Jaap is up for it, would you like to discuss setting up a meeting, or maybe discuss a tutoring session. I have a big enough place to host the meetings (although I live about 20 mins away from Sheffield) - let me know what you all think. If you think of any ways of widening the group, please let me know. Bedankt, Andy.
