Rooty
I have a confession to make, i started Fetching last night... sorry couldn't resist, i had the yarn and the needles and today off work, and i wanted to see what i made of cables. I'm not really far along though. The cable work is easy (hope i haven't spoken too soon) it looks cool and you guys were right it looks harder than it is. Will post some photos when its progressed abit.
Guest
Starting a KAL before the pre-arranged date is a crime punishable by permanant exclusion from the knitting group . Not that I've already knitted a pair, of course . I reckon the Knucks will take me til the 15th, so I'm going to wait til then to start the second pair of Fetching. I still haven't got around to ordering the 7 mm needles for River, so that'll have to wait a while too.
turra21
Ooooh you little devil Rooty, I've had my yarn, needles and pattern sat out just waiting for the 15th. Every so often I pick it up and debate with my inner self - Do I?, Don't I? I've managed to resist only by starting a pair of elfines. Take it slowly and we'll catch you up - honest!! ps glad you've got the hang of cables so easily.

Just thought that Id let you know that although they are comfy, I made mine too long so they are a bit flappy round the toes (I followed the pattern dimensions and Im a size 5). Didnt seem that long when I tried them on whilst I was making them - ho hum.
turra21
Yes, the Koigu is the yarn, thanks for the tip I'm only a 4 so I'll take note. How did you get on with the pgr mehtod of short row heels in the end?
Lucy-Lastic
It was fine - nice in fact:D You need to make sure your yarn overs and end stitches are tight - I think mine must have been too floppy on first attempt:hihi:
Rooty
Heres a couple of pictures (god black is not a good colour to photograph! There really is gonna be some fun photography going on!) i've been playing around with settings on my camera and this is the best i can get photo 1 photo 2 I'm liking the cables very much! and its my best attempt at knitting in the round so far, i'd imagine i'll get on with them socks after fetching as its coming abit more naturally now. Guest
It's coming along well . I told you the cables would be easy . I'm determined that I'm not going to start mine til the 15th, but I'm weakening. I really can't face knitting five more tiny little tubes for the other glove (other Knuck?). Must go to John Lewis tomorrow and pick up the 7 mm needles for River - I really want to see how the Kidsilk Haze knits up.
Rooty
I think i'll probably be like that, i'll have one finished all pretty and then lose interest and have just one 'glove' for awhile...maybe we should do a radical knitalong - in that we have different gloves or socks going and then knit one sock/glove and let someone else knit the other while you knit theirs...Poor speedy knitter Turra would be waiting ages for the other sock/glove if i had anything to do with it though Whats 'River' Hecate?
