Laura B
I am wanting some part time work, working from home ironing, deliveries, or admin and typing. I have posted my details on the Jobs wanted forum but had no responses. Does anyone have any advice?
fnkysknky
If you want to do ironing or similar as a job then speak to someone about setting up a company and doing it all properly. I did some work for a couple (not in Sheffield) who run an ironing business from home and they were doing very well for themselves - they pick up, iron and dropoff. I know there are ironing franchises available as well but obviously depends if someone has already set up in the area you intend to cover.

I have posted my details on the Jobs wanted forum but had no responses. Does anyone have any advice? I think FNKY ' s advice is good. Why not flyer houses in the posher areas? Spend an afternoon blitzing a few streets / blocks of flats and see what happens. Flyers dont cost much

Treatment
A lady near where I live makes a ''bomb'' out of ironing. She charges by the bag and we have to drop off the stuff and collect it. I think we found her from a postcard in a Supermarket, the post card read something like '' DO YOU HATE IRONING? WELL I LOVE IRONING'' and then went on to give details. Supermarket postcard might be an idea.

Treatment
I remember that when I did my dissertation at Uni it was hell's own job getting it typed. I eventually found a note on the noticeboard from someone who advertised typing services and she typed mine. I appreciate that that was in 1988 when computers and word processors were not as common as today, but it might be an idea.
