DBrooks
Does any one know where i can do i dreamweaver course in sheffield? I work full time, so an evening or a few days here and there would be ideal. Sheffield Hallam do a couple but for 2 days it cost £390 which i think is rather expensive. ta
torin8
Might be worth contacting Sheffield College.
cube
I would follow the simple tutorial in Dreamweaver and buy some magazines with Dreamweaver articles first. You may find you don't need a course afterwards!
Stuff
Can somebody explain to me why people use Dreamweaver? What's wong with good old-fashined hand-coding?

carcrash
Tritec do dreamweaver courses but from experience you won't be able to get on them because the people who do the bookings are idiots.
Fantomas
Can somebody explain to me why people use Dreamweaver? What's wong with good old-fashined hand-coding? Because not everybody wants or needs to learn about the nitty gritty of html or coding pages. Can somebody explain to me why people use cars? What's wong with good old-fashioned walking? mr chris
Lazyness. I say learn the hard way with notepad! Absolutely! Back in the late 90s (when the best we had was Frontpage, and even then it was godawful) we had to learn from scratch! Still, Dreamweaver is useful for writing CSS as it autocompletes it for you, and I'm a lazy bugger. If NVU could edit CSS pages (and not just styles associated with the current page) I'd use that instead!
avid_merrion
I know dreamweaver, fireworks and flash like the back of my hand i've never done a computer course in my life except clait. The tutorials are very good and there are plenty of forums out there with more tutorials.

I use a car cos otherwise it'd be a 2-hour walk to work, probably about 5 hours for the missus!!
