BasilRathbon
Tricky one, this. My house, being an end-terrace, has a drive up the back that leads to the back yards of 4 houses. Although the driveway belongs to me, the people who live in the other 3 houses are entitled to access on foot and generally I'm fine with that. Recently though I've found dog muck on the drive and, as I don't even own a dog myself, it really annoys me having to clean it up. The likely culprit is next door's dog, which is owned by a reasonably pleasant oldish woman, but because she works strange hours she's hardly ever in when i am so I can't go round and have a word with her. So what should I do - stick a note through her door (which somehow seems a bit cowardly). And if I do should I demand she clears it up? Obviously I don't want to fall out with her, but neither do I want to be clearing up dog muck on a regular basis....
BobbyBunny
Basically I'd stick a note through the door and ask her politely to stop her dog doing its business there, and tell her to make the dog do it in her yard if she can. I'd explain that seeing as I don't have a dog, I don't appreciate having to clean up the mess of an animal thats not mine. Or I'd go around and see her when she was in, even if it was about 5am. I'd put myself out, and ask her very politely. And then if she wouldn't clean up after her dog, I'd tell her that basically any mess left would be thrown on her yard :hihi: But only if things came to that. I'm sure they wont. BluePolo
Fit a webcam that records onto the pc when something moves across it's field of vision, then you'll find out if it is hers or a passing dog that's laying eggs on your drive. Of course this depends on you being able to see the drive from a window near the pc etc.
Whatif wewin
Basil why do you have to clean it up? Do you have to pass that way to enter your own home ? If you do, and you feel that you have to clean it up, it might seem daft but you could save it till you have a large amount/ Then when you have a pile of poo you could, just a suggestion mind, place it all back then see how it affects the other users of this passageway. You never know it might have a positive effect, ie the responsible person (dog owner might see your point ) If this is a daft Idea it wasn't mine. amber181
I'd put a sign up on the wall by the drive way asking politely for dog owners to clean up any mess. You're not actually acusing anyone then if you're not sure who the culprit is.

KJ_VENOM
you could always stick a note through the door with a sample of the dog muck asking if this belongs to her
