Bartfarst Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Agreeed, but what Bartfarst is saying (im sure he will correct me if I have misinterpreted his point) is that in England a fundamental grasp of English ids neccessary to go about an unimpeded day. Yes the Welsh speak Welshs between themselves but I havent come across too many people who have live in Wales for many years and are unable to understand, on even a basic level the native tongue of the country they choose to inhabit.Exactly. I made an effort to pronounce, and where I could understand, Welsh when I worked in Wales, and when Welsh people come into England they speak English, rather than expect the NHS wards or benefit offices to have signs everywhere in Welsh.
donuticus Posted September 10, 2006 Author Posted September 10, 2006 Apologies for my typos. Now corrected.
Rich Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Stannington's been a Lib Dem area for Donkey's years, I see no reason for that to change, so I'll vote Lib Dem. I did at the local elections a while back.
shoeshine Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Youre going with the flow, man. Minge will be pleased...........
JoeP Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Why thank you. My next ban will probably come next Wed or Thu - I'll be away with work for a while after that so will be happy to tell my favorite do-gooders what I really think of them at such a time. Not if we ban you first, or ban you for longer than you expect.
sccsux Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Why thank you. My next ban will probably come next Wed or Thu - I'll be away with work for a while after that so will be happy to tell my favorite do-gooders what I really think of them at such a time. I take it you prefer to do bad acts then, rather than good acts (that's how I interpreted your post)?
shoeshine Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 <Quote removed> the miners were never in their lives better off....the compensation is still being paid out absolutely big time. It's still a rolling bandwagon, and if the public knew how much the taxpayer has footed the bill in compo for this section of industry with health claims compared to other industrial injury claims and "health problems" there would be rioting on the streets. The closure of the Coal Industry has been on the collective conscience of the politicians of both persuasions for many years......at the expense of other workers in industry who find making a claim much more complicated, and less easily achieved.
shoeshine Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Am I imagining it or has the software gone barmy.....where's StarSparkles post to which I have just replied?
JoeP Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Shoeshine, StarSparkle contacted me and asked me to remove her post. You, your computer and your sanity are all fine! Joe
Bartfarst Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Not if we ban you first, or ban you for longer than you expect. That response took longer than I expected. You could just do what you did last time - ban me, then extand the ban halfway through for whatever reasons you saw fit.
