donuticus
With Tony Blairs reign as PM becoming shorter by the second if there was to be a general election tomorrow which party would you vote for and why ? Ive kept the poll voters secret so no-one will know which way you voted.
TwoFour
Well, if it were tomorrow, Blair would still be in charge so I'd vote Lib Dem. If someone else were in charge, I'd have to see what they said and what policies they espoused.
Cyclone
you said you'd vote LD, and I just voted LD, so why does the poll show one conservate and one LD?
donuticus
I dont think the poll had gone up by the time twofour replied. He was quick off the mark.
artisan
Labour would win. The Tories may make some inroads, but only by default. They will never get anywhere with that buffoon Cameron leading them. Their only stated policy on anything, is to bring back hunting. Other than that they just agree with the Government. The lib dems are finished. They were formed in an act of treachery, back in the 80's and have just got rid of their leader in another act of treachery. Their new leader is doing a worse job than a man who was so ill, that sometimes he coudn't remember what day it was, practically.
happyhippy
I'd probably end up spoiling my paper again. Because of this ludicrous 'first past the post' system a minority elects the Government, and the party for which I'd prefer to vote never has a candidate in my constituency anyway. I would write 'none of the above' on my ballot paper.
artisan
I would write 'none of the above' on my ballot paper. Many people believe this should be an option on ballot papers. It would get rid of the excuse for not voting of 'they are all the same anyway' The right to vote was hard won, from people who believed it was their right and theirs only to rule the country. Some people do not realise that these same people would find any excuse to take this right away, low turn out at polls is just giving them a justification. We also have among us a large minority religious group, which activly encourages its members not to vote in elections as it despises democracy. People who do not vote are just ensuring a quick return to the circumstances of the 1800's.
