carcrash
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zRmffRIifE&NR I've come across this and it's a video about where TV and computer displays could be heading in the next few years.
Ghozer
seen that, they use that tech on the Sky one show, with carol Vorderman... Its actually a few years old the technology, .. I dont like the waveyness of it :/
simondjuk
I can imagine that getting a wavy picture like that could get annoying. Imagine trying to play a game using a display like that, never mind, opening files etc. Id prefer to stick to TFT's for now.
Bikertec
Its a good idea but $2,000 is a bit steep. I wonder if you would get the same effect from lazers instead of wind.
demoniac
its a bit much seeing as its nothing more than an advanced fog machine

Havent you seen them? and you can now get 3D dislpays (Its a dome, and the image is displayed in full TRUE/REAL 3D) they call them "3d volumetric displays" Check out the link here.. http://www.dgp.toronto.edu/~ravin/ There's lots of other cool technology there too, demo videos etc..
