okka north
Why can't sheffield have a music festival like other major cities have. We have fab artists in the region, loads of great places to hold such a festival (not at the don valley or whatever that stadium is called). Nesbit
I agree! There used to be something called Music in the Sun - but I can't really remember much about it. Dont know the reason that ended.

SpeedwayDan
Got a bit hot for stabbings or something. no it didn't. it was a great festival, the only trouble they had was losing alot of money after turning it into the lakeside festival, well i think they lost alot of money anyway. dj4321
Music in the sun was a brilliant idea and grew into a decent festival, however it was badly organised and needed man power and professionalism. You are correct speedway it lost a lot of money and it needed to develop as most of the top names were geared towards the older people, which isnt a bad thing but there were nothing for the 13-18 year olds that was attractive. local radio did nothing for the cause and neither did the sheffield redneck star.As for fatal stabbings. there are stabbings and fatalities on our streets on a daily basis why the negative connection on this event. please explain...banjo
