Longcol
E-bay might give you a clue as to what something of a similar spec is selling for - if PCWorld are knocking out new 3 gig celeron machines with 256 Mb RAM, 80 gig hard disk, 15" TFT and Windows XP for just over £300 I wouldn't reckon you're going to get that much - what spec is it out of interest? Put it at the bottom of your wheelie bin, and they won't know But if you are worried, put it in next doors bin Alternatively, take it down your nearest dumpit site. They have areas especially for tv's, PC's etc. Edit - didn't read the bit about no transport, so scrub the last bit

RazorSHarp
I know a firm that will take away old PC's for proper disposal and recycling, and privde you a certificate of disposal (oh. they charge you £10 per item)
okka north
certificate to certify what? Put it in a black bin liner and put it in you wheelie bin when it's half full, then continue to put your rubbish in until collection day.
