markwit
Well, Mesh Computers use 533MHz in their 4600+ systems, so I'll go with that.
Ghozer
it depends, if its Socket 939, you will have trouble using DDR2, as I dont think there are any DDR2, Socket 939 motherboards, so your looking PC3200 (400mhz) -- Unless you go for the AM2 socket, then you should see what the board supports/reccomends, the majority are 533Mhz, however there are higher supported ones, just depends how much your spending.. Savannah2
Having a guess that with the Asus board board will take upto DDR2 800 MHZ. I'm using an ABIT FATAL1TY AA8XE , with 2 GIG of 533MHZ. Will take 667MHZ.
markwit
I would love to use 800MHz, but have you seen the price of it!
GrinderBloke
2Gb (matched pair) of 800Mhz DDR2 branded memory should cost approximatly the same as your processor, worth the cost if you are going down the X2 route. Grinder
