MTheo
anyone know how i can basically keep track of the amount of usage each connection is getting thru on a wireless router? or if its possible to set restrictions on usage and such. i've gone on the settings of the router and there doesnt seem to be that much to me..but i have little or no knowledge of their workings anyways so i might be missing something simple. its a D-Link DSL-G624T Router if that helps. esme
I think the more sophisticated routers for business use have the kind of throttling and monitoring functions you want, I doubt you'll find them in any router destined for home use tho
esme
Just had a look in your manual, no bandwidth throttling I'm afraid but you can see stats on the traffic for the LAN, WAN or Wireless. Doesn't give you individual connections tho
Alky
You can download a little program called Down2Home.exe that monitors the uasge for the computer it is installed on. Gives instant and historical info - daily, weekly monthly etc. I know this dosent help you monitor others usage unles you check their pc's.
