jsg103
I'm wanting some advice about who to contact. Where I live they are buing new flats and have dug up half the road leading to my garage at the back of my property. I've spoken with the company and they said sorry. Its been dugg up over a week now.
bglodge
Contact the Highways Department at the Town Hall. They can advise on what can or can't be done.

cgksheff
have sent emails to the highways department this weekend-bet they are slow in replying I always recommend that you should copy any such e-mails to at least one of your Ward Councillors. Sometimes they can move things on a little bit faster.
Haydn1971
For a quicker response, try calling Highway Co-ordination on 0114 273 6159 on Monday morning. E-mail is fine, but the telephone is much more likely to get a on the spot answer.... Ward Councillors don't need to get involved unless your unhappy with the response you are getting from the service area in question....
Tony
If it's adopted highway you need the Council, though that may not get you far if they have issued the appropriate notices or it's emergency work. If it's a private road / access you need an injunction. See a solicitor, or bite your lip and wait until they reinstate it.
