What should I do with my muscle car?

Recommended Posts

Just got a quote back from the UK's No.1 guy whom is the No.1 engine tuner for my Yank Muscle Car. For £1500 I can have the mods done to give me another 1/2 second to 3/4 seconds on the 1/4 mile :hihi: .

Should I go for it or should I utilise my hard earned money for important things? What important things I don't know as yet!:help:

What does it currently do the standing quarter in Cliff, you mentioned the 13s on another thread IIRC? £1,500 is a fair whack of money to 'only' get a half second faster over the quarter mile - but that depends on the current time of course.

Will it affect engine longevity? What does the £1,500 get you? :)

Proper drag radials will cost you a lot less and probably give you just as good an improvement! (P.S. fastest Supra I've seen does the 1/4 in 7.9s @184mph :D)

Get it done and then linger around penistone road in hillsborough so you can race and beat the little CHAVES in the corsa's, novas, saxos, punto's (spirit of the chav Cu*to) and what ever else these little mummies boys want to pimp up to make them look like G's.

depends on how often you drag the car, or do you want extra power and torque for nomal driving with the drag time reduction as a bonus?

The extra power and torque is what I want for the normal "normal being few times I get to use it" but I do take it to the strip at least 3 to 4 times per year.

Sorry I exagerated my times :D My true 1/4 is 14.7 secs but I am looking at getting low 13's late 12's eventually and without NOS. Like the idea of those tyres, are they street legal too? If so I'm gonna get some.

As for fastest Muscle Car time I've seen, it was a Dodge Avenger 7.6 or 7.7 at Santa Pod :hihi:
