SKY Problem Help!!!!

This morning my SKY box came up with "no satellite signal is being recieved".

I have tried turning it on and off several times and checked the back of the box and the dish looks ok.

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with it?

I am going to ring SKY if i cannot get it sorted but they take 4-5 days to come out to sort it.

This happened to us a few weeks since.

We left it for 2 days and it was fine.

Phone Sky and they will talk you through all sorts of things to press on your remote.

Failing that it is a £65 call out.

Our problem was just that we had the upstairs window open (Near the dish) when it was warm.

Sometimes you have to turn the box off in JUST teh right way.... :)

Unplug the box, wait a couple of minues.

Now plug it back in, but DON'T turn it back on.

Wait one minute - 60 seconds (Sky say 30 but leave it for 60)

Then turn it on.

If you don't get anything now, then it might be worth checking that the polarisation and similar settings are correct. these are on one of the menus of the system, but I can't quite remember where.

Hope this helps in some way.
