No offence, but if your driving is anything like your English, let me know once you've passed and I'll know to stay off the roads :hihi:

Good for you Katy! Of course you're a woman and so will never really master the art of driving, but thumbs up for trying ;)

No seriously hon, keep at it - don't let the occasional (yet inevitble) 'bad' lesson put you off. As for reversing, just try to understand what is going on - once you 'get' what affects what it's a whole lot easier to apply the knowledge to developing the skill, which will in turn mean you can reverse in any scenario. Instructors tend to teach you to look through a particular part of a particular window - I never understood what they were on about so ask LOADS of questions so you fully understand :)

Maybe even play about with a computer/console game or radio controlled car? Viewing how vehicle reverse - from above - can be very useful in getting the above understanding. - I remeber a few years ago there was an online 'flash' game that got the player to reverse vehicles into various spots, have a google for simething similar maybe? :)

Keep it up! (but yeah, also please tell me if you pass so I'm not on the roads at the same time as you ;))

To Reverse a Car: Select the reverse gear.... :|

Sorry Katy but someone was going to say it ;)

Seriously though, well done for learning to drive - I was waaaaay to scared to even pick up the phone and enquire about lessons and would never have learned to drive if it weren't for my boyfriend booking my first few lessons for me as a 19th birthday present. Being able to drive will increase your confidence immensely :) Good Luck

I was too scared to learn, now, i'm 36 and just started my lessons, nowt like leaving it late!!

doin' ok too, got my theory tomorrow, got the cd roms to help me out, even the double cd hazard perception and practical where you get to "drive" the car.

Will let you know how i get on cos if I pass, then the cd's will be up for sale, (they cost me a tenner each and i've only had them a bout a month!)!
