coritani
I saw a young mum trying to negotiate a way round the left out wheelie bins, black bags and an overgrown hedge, she was forced onto the road with a baby in a pram and another toddler trailing behind. Surely its an accident waiting to happen. I tried to reach the women so as to help but I was too late. Are people less considerate these days?. Carmine
Seen that so many times. You get forced into the road due to the fact that there are cars parked on the pavement and then you get abuse from motorists because you're in their way! When I lived in Hilsborough, Harrison Road was a b*gger for it.

Hels
Not sure if it's people being 'less considerate' or if it's general lack of awareness. Probably a combination of both. I had the exact same problem yesterday when I took my baby out to walk to the post-office. A few people had put their wheelie bins out and it was tricky negotiating them whilst remaining on the footpath. I was forced onto the road to get round a car parked on the pavement - there was enough room for pedestrians to pass but insufficient room to get a pushchair or wheelchair through. coritani
The cars are a nightmare around these parts, it will get worse when the students return. Somone somwhere surely can find an answer to the problem of parking cars.

Carmine
Or they could be made to pull rickshaws for all the frustrated mothers with puschairs...take them to the shops, pick up the kids, etc.
fr8neck
The wheelie bin in the way problem is quite new, as, with the old bins, the dustmen fetched & returned them from behind your house. People may be more inconsiderate but : you have to put out your bin; where can you put it but on the pavement?
coritani
The bins concerned had been left out for 2 days and the people couldnt be bothered to take them back in again
