GrinderBloke
Don't know anyrging which is free on Windows, but best Value when I needed such a solution was a bit of software called Beyond Compare from http://www.scootersoftware.com Works really well. I seem to recall it works for 15 days before you have to register it. Grinder
Savannah2
This is free from Microsoft Don't know if it's what you are looking for. I use Syncback Does a fast and efficient backup between to PC's. Karens Replicator Cobian Backup
Tony
Ah, MS Synctoy! I've tried it Savannah and it screwed up badly... ... so I'm still using Second Copy which might be a bit long in the tooth, but it's tiny and it just works. You just need to make sure you create a deletions folder that you can easily find, and keep more than 1 copy of deleted files in case something goes awry. Thanks Tony, I have never used it....I tend to shy away from anything requiring .NET Framework installation.
Tony
Hehe, well I'm using the 2000 version as I'm too tight to upgrade, so no .net needed. I'd be interested to try the new one though so I might give it a whirl in teh future. It's still a cracking little routine style prog though. Greybeard
There is quite list of such utilities here... http://www.foldermatch.com/fmcompetitors.htm ...but it doesn't indicate which are freeware. I use Comparator but Syncback is good too.
