neeeeeeeeeek
Anyone got any data or info on the Intel Core Duo processors? Not the Core 2 ones but ones used in laptops. The T2400 Core Duo runs at 1.66Ghz, how does it compare with the old 3Ghz P4 with hyperthreading ? Newer architecture is obviously much better but I was wondering how they compare. Cheers for any info.

MickM
speedwise they would be similar if the app doesn't support multithreading, but bear in mind the core duo will run cooler and battery life will probably be a lot longer.

Eric_Collins
my dell c640 with p4m 2.2ght is WAY faster an AMD dual core laptop My mate has an AMD DC ( 1.6ghtz x2) with 1gb of DDR2 and SATA HDD and mine with 2.2ghtz and 1gb of DDR1 and IDE HDD honistly whips it's azz. It boots quicker, loads stuff quicker and all in all a snappier machine. I have no idea if his is a topend CPU or the Cheap end CPU but it did shock me too see it struggle as i was expecting mine to be the weaker machine. I can't see index selling good stuff for that amount of cash. He removed the stickers off the case and windows just reported is as a x2 cpu with clock speeds.
