mat1978   10 #2 Posted August 20, 2006 It obviously depends on the car but whatever it is its gonna be expensive for a young driver. There are loads of companies in the back of mags like Maxpower which specialise in young drivers. Otherwise try Confused.com it gets quotes ffrom loads of different companies and lists them all for you to look at. I saved about £100 doing it this way this year. Well worth a look :;
 Share this content via...

bobsyouruncle   10 #4 Posted August 21, 2006 it all depends on your age, car and where you live. I'm 36,live in hillsboro' and having lessons at the moment, and also went to http://www.confused.com, looking for insurance for a micra/corsa/fiat uno type car, put all my details in, (but as I havent passed my test, I just put that I've had my licence since the start of August, since I will be buying a car once i've past my test, and insuring it almost immediately) that its parked on the street, it has no immoboliser, alarm or tracker fitted, they returned me a quote for a "T" Reg Corsa, 16v SXi, for £330.27 Third Party Fire and Theft for 12 months with Quinn Direct apparently recommended by the Pass Plus scheme as one of the insurance companies who give a discount for having done Pass Plus, so I had another quote for the same car, with 1 yrs NCB, a full licence for 12 months and a pass plus, they quoted me just under £200 TPFT for 12 months, so I would try them. neeeeeeeeeek   10 #7 Posted August 21, 2006 In use Chris Knott, very good. Your probably best to but a classic car, a friend could not get any quotes under £1000 on the most basic of cars so bought an old Triumph, it's a top car and cost his £250 to insure! Get a years no claims and consider something better.
 Share this content via...
