penny_crayon   10 #14 Posted August 11, 2006 My first computer was an Amstrad- wind up I think or was that the gramophone?  Yeah, we had an Amstrad too, which took cassette tapes. Think it was a CPC464, having done some googling!
 Share this content via...
simondjuk   10 #15 Posted August 11, 2006 dont forget manic miner!!! that was class! with the big foot that stamped down on you when you lost, and the dodgy tapes that took 45minutes to load up the game! then the nes....with the gun and duck hunt...class!  Manic Miner - yeah i remember that, the most frustrating thing was it took games 45 minutes to load and it regularly packed up after 40mins so you have to reload everything  I also had a Commodore 1200 and I spent all my time on Cannon Fodder, might see if i can get that for the PC... EdnaKrabappe   14 #22 Posted August 12, 2006 I had a ZX spectrum for my tenth birthday and I think my mum was a bit disappointed when I spent more time playing Horace goes Skiing, Manic Miner, Dizzy and Frogger than anything useful. I also had a Dracula game and one that was really boring called It's only rock and roll. Those were the days where you'd record games for your mates.  Before that I'd had hand held games but I desperately wanted an Amiga as I can remember thinking the quality of the graphics was amazing! I also had a commodore and an amiga and then progressed to the Nintendo and then the SNES but once i got a proper PC and the internet I got bored with games.  My friend's nephews are always amazed how i can whip them at retro games. I loved Mr Do! If anyone knows a link on the internet to that I'd love to play it!
 Share this content via...
