I went to St John Fisher junior in Hackenthorpe, then went to St Marys secondary in Chesterfield when it was on Cross St. Think its the junior school now.

I attended Whitby Road Infants and Junior and then Owler Lane Intermediate School

Woodhouse West Primary 53 to 59 then on to Brincliffe Grammar 59 to 64.

Didn't realise until I discovered this site that Brincliffe was only open for 5 years I was there...came across article written by Peter Spinks thanks to this forum.

Colley Road school Parson Cross 1951 to 1952. Mr Birch was headmaster then. Always addressed us boys as "sonny"

Gregg School, Broomhill 1952- to 1955. Mr Arnold was headmaster. Some teachers names I can remember - Mr Rankin, Mr Sutherland, Miss Watson
