Hi Carlwalker - our paths might have crossed, I was at Crookes Endowed from 44 - 49. Came from Broomhill when it burnt down.

I went to norfork secondry moder 1955-1958. The junior school is now spring lane 6th form school. I was shocked to see the place had been demolished to make way for old age pensioners bungalows. Did anyone on here go to the same school as me?

I left Jordanthorpe Comprehensive in 1974. In those days there was the south building (which I think had been the girls school) and the north building (the old boys school). I heard it's been rebuilt on the site of the old north building and renamed Meadowhead School. I remember the days of the old school yard - we used to laugh a lot.
