Tony christies first booking was at the Ivanhoe wmc in Conisbrough opposite where he lived,up to his late 20s ,before marrying a Sheffield lass .His mate was a lad called Dave Bramley, and they called themselves the Grant brothers, they got paid off, probably most turns did at the start of their careers, for example Englebert Humperdink, aka Gerry Dorsey, real name George Arnold Dorsey used to be paid up regularly.
