3) You too could do t0's job, when you get your degrees.

the fact youd rather post on a forum than do your work shows how much you enjoy your "cushy" job

I manage my own workload which is a luxury any employee would cherish, that is, if I'd rather post on here than do what I'm being paid for then I will. Tha t is my prerogative.

Being 'on-call' at night means I'm not neglecting any duties;

I attend to problems when they arise.

How enjoyable is that?

If you ever get a job you'll know what I mean.

For you it would be the autonomy of asking whether

'you want fries with that' or 'going soopersize' in either order.

Managing your own workload.

and don,you may have a well paid job, doesnt mean anything

:loopy:

It does when you don't have one :P and you haven't got a pot to p1$5 in.

But then I've worked damned hard since I was 17 to get here.

I studied when others were spray painting school walls;

I found employment when others were tagging the walls of where I worked.

I invested my income when others squandered theirs on spray paints, fags, white lightening & jewelry from Argos.

There's a picture emerging here, can you see it yet?

art-

1. Human effort to imitate, supplement, alter, or counteract the work of nature.

2. The conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colors, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty, specifically the production of the beautiful in a graphic or plastic medium.

3. The study of these activities.

4. The product of these activities; human works of beauty considered as a group.

5. High quality of conception or execution, as found in works of beauty; aesthetic value.

6. A system of principles and methods employed in the performance of a set of activities: the art of building.

7. A trade or craft that applies such a system of principles and methods: the art of the lexicographer.

8. Skill that is attained by study, practice, or observation: the art of the baker; the blacksmith's art.

walls are the canvas, do you not understand?

that's how it works.

i understand it's illegal, nobody here denies that.

you clearly do not understand graffiti though.

again, please break down my post into little quotes, analyse it, and if i feel like annoying you even more i'll retort and carry on with this 'discussion'.

Or maybe they would do their nuts because I had just defaced something that was 'theirs'. You know,....similar to what they had just done to someone else's property.

markham, you don't understand graffiti at all.

the quicker something is painted over, the more successful it has been. good graffiti gets cleared up quickest or painted over by another graffiti artist who tries something better.

FACT

even if you did go round and actually do something to 'tidy' it up, rather than just rant about it, it would give graffiti artists a nice new blank 'canvas' to work on

tomgoodfella - I wasn't disputing whether or not graffiti is art. To me, that argument is both subjective and irrelevant. The main argument is using other peoples' property as their "canvas", which to any decent human being with an ounze of consideration and respect would be an argument easy enough to understand.

[MOD EDIT: No personal abuse please.] and as iv said , im doing politics , sociology and history, not english, so you were right in one thing. and i hope you have fun in london, i hear theres some good graff down there ;)

why do all you people have it in your mind graffiti artists are yobs ? its a very narrow view point, how many of you have ever met a graffiti artist ? do you believe every thing you read in the sun / mail on sunday ?

kiddick it is possible to study and spray walls you know, as your so super maybe you could even do them at the same time, who knows. no matter how many times i say i DO go to school none of you seem to notice, because im a graffiti artist im a lazy, agressive, stupid yobbo whos dropped out and spending my life trying to annoy everyone

kiddick your on call all night, a well paid job, and you "manage" your work load - are you a prostitue by chance ? the evidence is all pointing there. the jewellery from argos , cider and fags is from your personal experience im guessing ?

and i dont work in mcdonalds, but seen as you know so much about it maybe you could work there ? you may not be able to manage your work load but atleast you can sleep at night. you even get a hat to wear.
