FORE Â Â 12 #807 Posted January 21, 2009 I've not seen many aristons but have just dearched that fault code and it says the main pcb is a very common fault, so much so they are like rocking horse manure. apparantely if you can get hold of 1 they are 230 + vat with no labour. again i can't remeber seeing one of these so can't comment how long it will take. I think my supplier may specialise in ariston parts if you require any more help please contact me. Â Shi**** no chance of it being one of the thermostats then? When I've actually been to the job !!!!!!.  Micky, don't understand why you are volleying me. I have been grateful for your advice. I like reading the entries you and similar collegues make. You all appear to give a good service.  My reference "Shi**** no chance of it being one of the thermostats then?" was not an attempt to 'slate' you whatsoever, merely a shock at the cost when the new boiler itself cost maybe £600 - ish, and is less than 3 years old. I was hoping the fault may be something cheaper to cure. Nothing unusual there.  I also understood from the start that you were kindly giving advice and never did ask for the job.  Your advice WAS correct and the cost in total was £250. I also explained (via PM) that a family member had got someone in to see to it, and could not 'elbow' him now. I would have been pleased to ask you in had this not been the case.  I hope this clears the incorrect impressions you may have. Complete-Heat   10 #816 Posted February 2, 2009  merely a shock at the cost when the new boiler itself cost maybe £600 - ish, and is less than 3 years old. You are lucky that the pcb lasted nearly 3 years.  Some more free advice....You will be replacing it again in a year or so
 Share this content via...
