bassett one Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 well the accounts show hes put in 150 million and puts in 10 million a year of his money to keep us afloat, which is low in comparison to many other clubs, we are in a better situation than last year as income is up, now he always says its his money,or is it his family who are worth plenty, but either way some say its his hobby ect, well its a expensive hobby or company to be involved in, now is that why he wont sell as it would look bad against his family. or his his family using us as a tax relief on there profits.

I understand the Thai Fish canning company are not in the best of states either. I think the family's total worth has dropped quite a lot over the last couple of years. If they're happy to bank roll Wednesday, then so be it, but the last figures I saw (a couple of years ago) were that the whole company was only worth £700m. Not enough to run an ambitious Football Club. DC's spaffed £200m+ apparently. When a bloke buys the ground (valued around £30m) for £64m, then it's not difficult to see how oodles of money is quoted. I still don't get it......

Suffice to say that he's funding us and I for one am grateful for that alone. How does anyone actually know how deep he's in? You have people totting up season spends without actually knowing what's going on below the surface, I know I don't. Maybe he won the Squid Game competition. I'm watching season 2 at the moment and loving it.
Pipeworks Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Just had a look, the Squid Game winner gets 45.6 Billion Korean Won which only equates to around £25m so that wouldn't be enough either.😂 Unless I made a calculation error. That'd only keep us going for 2.5 seasons.
bassett one Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 but the 10 million a year is being paid by him or someone each year, now wheres that come from? but its paid to keep us afloat.
