Well guys know me from the footie forum but lve another hobby of close on 45 years lm 63 now.

Breeding silk moths hawkmoths has been a interest of mine since l was 17 and just left school.

Always get the thrill of seeing large moths 4in to 10in wingspan emerge at home..

Also dabbled in stick insects just wanted to know if anyone does the same..

When I was about 9 I found an enormous brown caterpillar. We put it into one of those plant terrarium things. It made a chrysalis and I was really excited, thinking that a beautiful butterfly would emerge. It was the biggest ugliest moth you’ve ever seen and I was scared stiff of it! Mum was as well, and dad had to come to the rescue and release it into the garden for us 😂 I must admit it was interesting to watch it though. How many do you have at any one time?

I'm so sorry to hear about your wife. That must be hard.

I never knew that moths could squeak! You learn something new every day.

I was bitten by a massive moth in the front garden and my face swelled up immediately,

went to the doctors and was given penicillen and the swelling went down,  what could this huge moth have been?
