No qualifications are needed to see that most of the homeless in town are Mentally Ill. I saw a guy talking to  an unseen presence the other day for example.

thank you for confirming that  you are in no position to pass informed comment on this topic,

Fights on buses, in pubs, outside pubs, in the street etc used to be pretty common - and probably still are in places. Booze played a big part,

Genuine question - do you think that someone who starts having a loud argument in the street with a person that no one else can see is completely sane?  In the middle of shopping street on a weekday afternoon?

Appreciate you might have seen that.

But does that one example mean that ‘most’ of the homeless people are ‘mentally ill’ and should be in an asylum?

Feels like a bit of a generalisation and a bit of a jump, to me.

Back to the tram fight—

Apparently two women had an altercation, police were called, one of the women allegedly assaulted a police officer, was arrested.

Classy.

That particular example is just one of very many.  A lot of the homeless people in town display various symptoms of mental illness. Do you think mentally ill people should be homeless on the street?  I don’t and would prefer them to be looked after in an institution.

If I’d had to spend my days and nights on the street I might have been sane when I started, but it would hardly enhance my sanity.
