Probably the toughest home game yet.   Saw Sunderland on the EFL highlights last week.  They had 6 regulars players out due to suspension, (so some of them if not all might be back?), last match, away against Millwall & still managed to come away with a point.

They play at a very high intense pace.  Just wave after wave of attacks our  defence looks as though they will be tested tomorrow night, so it's down to midfield to break things up.

I'll take a point now.  Draw, 1 - 1.

I agree it will be our toughest test at home up to now, could go any way but we have our parachute payments to fall back on and if it's going t*ts up at half time we could always start a bust up in the tunnel 🤣🤣

Plus our playing field is level.

Not happy with two night matches in a week, and I hope the traffic isn't the nightmare it was on Tuesday.

I'd take a draw but as they've had five draws on the trot you'd expect a change. Hope it's in our favour 🤞

It's Friday night.  It'll be worse but at least we can hang around & have a drink.  It's the people who have to bring their cars & have also paid for car parking in the ground, only to be told if you don't get back to the car before they shut the gates on 80 mins, I feel sorry for.  They've got to hang around until someone seems that the surrounding roads are adequately clear.

I reckon on a Friday night, that'll be a good hour plus after when the match ends.

I'm one of those that has to bring a car. Years ago it wasn't a problem, I'd park up somewhere near Heeley City Farm and walk,

Now, because of arthritis and a heart condition that is no longer possible, I need to park close to the Lane, and in order to be able to do that I have to arrive early.

As I'm driving I can't have more than a pint so I'll have a coffee to while away the time. Usually I take an older couple who sit near me but one of them isn't well and is missing both of this weeks games.

It's become a hassle and I've lost some love for the game because of they way things are going. It's more of a business than a sport and isn't truly competitive these days. C'est la vie

Get in!

It’s the character defining games like that which you have to overcome in order to be successful! Scrappy game between two teams determined to win and we came out on top!

Huge game after Coventry and a huge win!
