Apologies for the long  but I've spent most of the last nearly 30 years gaining qualifications in retail and other stuff, but I can't get a job despite extensive efforts (you see, contrary to popular belief, I am NOT a workshy slave to the benefit system)

 

A friend tells me BHF in Rotherham centre and Barnardos at Parkgate are recruiting volunteer staff. The BHF is retail, the Barnardos is stockroom volunteer. 

There are a few others on Google too if you're interested matey 👍

Thanks but I've worked for BHF 3 separate times (both the shops in Hillsborough, and the one in Castle Square) and they didn't treat me very well.

 

And as much as I'd be willing to work at Barnado's, Wickersley would be a pain to get to.

 

And no, I'm not trying to put obstacles up.

In fact I applied to the IBIS in Town last year (behind Ponds Forge Leisure Centre), got rejected for the same reason I keep getting rejected for retail jobs, I can't work nights.

Thats fair enough but on the first page you suggested there were two issues with applying for jobs online.

I don't think Parkgate is in Wickersley. 

I might be wrong, geography isn't my strength.

It's actually pretty easy to get to Rotherham from Sheffield these days. I don't use busses but I hear there's a decent amount throughout the day. Have a look at transport links. Maybe it's changed since last time you checked?
