The Tour of Britain isn't finishing in Sheffield it is passing through so the delays will be minimal

It's not passing through, it's starting here. From Arundel Gate out westwards along Ecclesall Road and through Ringinglow, Lodge Moor, Rivelin Valley, Malin Bridge, Loxley, Worrall and up to Oughtibridge. Then it also crosses over the A61 Halifax Road at Grenoside, which I can see being a bit of a pain to close off. The exact route can be found here : Route (britishcycling.org.uk)
You need to scroll about half way down to Stage 3 as the route is all on one page..

Lol - don't think Maltby will ever recover from cross roads by the Queens being closed for half an hour, It'll go down in folklore. Similarly the junction in Thurgoland by the Green Dragon,

    Just had a quick look at the Tour de France Road Closures thread from 2014. 

    Rants about this that and the other mainly from contributors never to be heard of again- mind you some sound familiar.

    The positive comment I made refers to the observation that in ten years the reaction to a cycling event is attracting no ranting(so far!) and that those people have moved on. A light at the end of the tunnel?

Sorry, I stand corrected I'm thinking it starts in Derby to Barnsley.

So yes it will be a bit more painful for the moaners, but not me, I will be at the top of Jawborne on the day
