Rather pay £5/pint and have a decent pint than 3 pints of cheap, tasteless nastiness, but each to their own. Yup - if you're paying under £2 a pint then most of the money is going on VAT and excise duty. The ingredients will be cheap and more than likely fairly nasty. One pub in Blackpool called Ma Kelly's on the South Shore charge £1.80 a pint for John Smith's, Fosters, Strongbow. Yet other pubs charge anything from £3.25 to £6.50 a pint! There are actually 2 of them, good pubs and entertainment.
bassett one
no theres 3 , the smallish type pub about halfway on the road at the back, a big one back of the tower and a 3rd going away from blackpool towards ST ANNES thats the only way i can describe it . all 3 have singers, comedians through out the day eve going in a round circle ,with a d/j in each i believe ,as the singers often say they are off to another MA KELLYS old fashioned boozer and good value. GoldenAleLad
Beer too expensive now , all the good old pubs gone in that area, lets hope that the Norfolk Arms prevails for at least a while more, but that too must surely be struggling now, unless its picked up the others trade ?
